Amplified Bible Genesis 2:20,22-24 And Adam gave names to all the livestock and to the birds of the air and to every [wild] beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.
The purpose of creation of the woman from this scripture is to;
Help
Be suitable
Complement.
1. Help.
Man (male and female) was made by God, like God , to need fellowship and be complimented and so the one cannot do without the other really, the both sexes need each other (both within and outside a marriage arrangement).
The truth is, in essence , man and woman both have one singular function, Dominate but God wired us differently for the purpose of all round domination.
For example, the man is almost always naturally stronger than the woman until you touch the woman’s child and she fights back in ways that even a man can’t.
What this implies is that God made both man and woman to provide, protect, cultivate among others but our abilities were made to manifest in different ways and to different directions for totality and wholeness of fulfilment of purpose.
Where does the ministry of helps come in here?
The ministry of helps is one that has been greatly misunderstood and misinterpreted over time but it is one of the greatest parts of the structure of existence.
To help is to assist, to complement a person’s actions with yours for a particular result.
We see a lot of people misinterpret the fact that woman is called a “help meet” to mean that she is a house maid, well to that I say that the same God that inspired Proverbs 31 would not go around and say that that same woman is to be a nonentity, God is not the author of confusion.
We got to understand that the ministry of helps is activated when a being cannot function in divine purpose on it’s own without external complementary support and it is available for total fulfilment of purpose where the one being cannot reach full capacity without the input of the other.
What this implies is that there are some qualities in You as a Woman that man has no access to and needs you to be able to reach.
The ministry of helps cannot fully be expanded because of all that it entails, cannot be undermined because of the capacity it takes to be in it and guess who the chief member of this ministry is!
If you guessed The Holy Spirit then you were absolutely right.
Amplified Bible John 16:7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, HELPER, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
We will take the liberty to embolden the word Help.
If you study scripture, you’d get to understand that woman shares a lot of character traits with The Holy Spirit in terms of temperament, approach, and behavior.
This is in no way claiming that The Holy Spirit is female or that every woman is The Holy Spirit or anything of that sort, what we are doing here is explaining what the ministry of helps entails and why woman was put in that capacity. (Note, in the church setting, the ministry if helps is for every body really, we’re speaking here in the context of the man and woman interrelation and coexistence)
The manifestation of God as The Holy Spirit is the part of the Godhead that talks to us, constantly wants fellowship, comes as a still small voice, can be hurt and grieved, needs to be talked to and fellowshipped with or He would withdraw, has power but is soft spoken and gentle, can manifest in various ways, can be sweet as the calm spring breeze one moment and the next manifests as fire, can multitask and be everywhere doing everything at once, sound familiar?
Guess what other traits we share with Him?

The woman is the image of God that has the capacity to bring comfort, ask any man who he turns to for comfort, certainly not his male friends, its either a wife or a mother or sister or female friend.
She counsels, scripture refers to wisdom “She”. We’re not saying men are not wise, the wisest man in his days was Solomon but even he recognized and referred to wisdom as “she”, just saying.
Who does a child run to when they need a softer punishment? It’s almost always the mother. A woman sees a person being punished and begins to advocate, a woman watches a criminal being punished and starts to cry. Woman plays the advocate even when she acknowledges the wrong in a person’s actions because of her sympathetic nature.
Speak to men and they will tell you (if they want to be honest) what compliment and a show of faith from a woman does to them. A Womans praise can make a man carry a mountain to the top of mount Everest really, beacsue God put that ability in her to motivate the man into action.
As a standby, the Woman always has a wealth of resources to tap into to assist anyone in need of assistance. When we see both men and women faced with similar situations, the man thinks of a logical solution and if he can’t offer one, he goes to look for someone who can. The Woman would probably offer an illogical solution that would work, just how we are wired.
It is really incredible when people misconstrue scripture to mean that woman is some by product created for all the menial work, no! God would only make Woman as a help meet because He knew that man was weak in some aspects and needed strengthening and comfort.
Now dear Woman, think of how you share the same functions and traits with The Holy Spirit and embrace your call into The Ministry of Helps as something to not be ashamed of but rather something to thrive in.
We have a quickly dying world because people have left their original purpose.
People are no longer being encouraged in the Godly way because the woman doesn’t want to be seen and “too supportive” and “weak” when we are made capable of showing emotion to help our counterpart gender express themselves better.
It’s been scientifically proven that women express themselves better than men both in words and expression, what happens when the woman begins to suppress that gift?
There is less expression and more internalization which always leads to more outbursts of emotion that is almost always violent.
This is in no way blaming one gender for violence in the world, a blame game is not what we are here for.
The ministry of helps is one of subtle influence, let’s draw another parallel.
The Holy Spirit dwells quietly in our insides but when we let Him, He influences the world around for our good. He doesn’t fight for dominion in us, He just waits, doing His own thing,for us to realize that we need Him and then He goes into action, using the capacity that He has to do what He does best, make things beautiful.
That we are helpmeet doesn’t mean that we are sub species, it means that we have influence on our insides that we can cultivate and harness and release where necessary and when it is needed and welcomed.
That when we step into a situation, there is an obvious difference in how things operate and in how every thing functions because we have an ability to bring our unique traits into the situation and change it.
Woman, embrace your ministry and go function in it to your full capacity.
